For fly fishing enthusiasts, Rio Mel is strategically located within Lanin National Park. Seven rivers, nine lakes, and numerous spring creeks no more than 40 minutes from the lodge offer a tempting array of possibilities for those who wish to enjoy fly fishing in all its glory. Whether boating on lakes, floating down rivers, or wading, you will be able to access the most inhospitable corners of Patagonia.

Fishing

Surrounded by lush landscapes and accompanied by expert guides, our guests will enjoy friendly and personalized service. Brown trout, rainbow trout, fontinalis trout, perch, and landlocked salmon are the species that inhabit our waters, with an average weight of 2 kg, reaching catches of between 4 and 6 kg.

Trekking, Mountain Biking, and Horseback Riding

If you wish to explore the trails, you can choose to do so on foot (trekking), by mountain bike, or on horseback. El Paso Córdoba, Cerro Falkner, Cerro Ventana, and Cordón del Chapelco are some of the favorite places for visitors to explore and appreciate Patagonian flora and fauna.

Canoes and kayaks

You can also choose to explore some of the region's different bodies of water by canoe or kayak, and for those who want a little more adrenaline, you can opt for rafting on one of the nearby rivers.
