For those who love fly fishing , Rio Mel is strategically located within the Lanin National Park . Seven rivers , nine lakes and numerous Spring Creek ‘s  no more than 30 minutes away from the lodge, offer a tempting range of possibilities for those who enjoy fishing. By sailing the lakes, rivers floating or wading , you can reach the most remote corners of Patagonia.

Fishing

Surrounded by lush of vegetation and magnificent landscapes, and accompanied by expert guides, our guests are treated with friendly and personalized attention. Brown Trout, Rainbow, Brook Trout, Perch and Landlocked Salmon are the species which dwell in our eco-systems. Pieces of an average weight of 4 pounds can be caught.

Trekking, Mountain Bike or Horse-backriding

Many alternatives are offered when it comes to exploring the Patagonian landscape. Our guests can decide whether to trek, cycle or horse ride along the trails. Paso Córdoba, Falkner Mountain, Ventana Mountain or Chapleco are some of the favourite places where to appreciate the immensity of this southern region.

Canoe or kayak

A fascinating way of discovering the charms of Patagonia is by touring the lakes on kayak or canoe. Sail the crystal waters of the nearby lakes and enjoy their freshness. If adrenaline is what you are looking for, you can go white-water rafting down the rivers in the area.
